Centrally located, our cabin is approximately one mile from the Carson’s Creek entrance to the State Park and minutes from all of the best restaurants and activities Hochatown has to offer. Not Your Grandpa’s Cabin is perfect for one to two families, or for a guys / girls getaway!
This spacious 1500 square foot cabin has a warm, contemporary interior and is nestled in 1.5 acres of peaceful woods. The open concept living space has ample views of beautiful Oklahoma pines and hardwoods. The cabin sleeps up to 9, with two master bedrooms, each with a king bed and en suite bathroom. One bedroom also includes 2 additional lofted twin beds. Triple twin bunks are tucked between the master bedrooms and sit next to a half bath. Adults and children will enjoy the seated arcade console full of classic games like Pac Man, Dig Dug, and Donkey Kong. A well appointed indoor kitchen with double ovens stands ready for your group’s use and enjoyment.
Step out back onto the expansive 15-foot-high deck standing among 100 ft tall pines. The deck features comfortable seating, a outdoor gas fireplace, TV, an outdoor kitchen with dining, and a hot tub for soaking just down the stairs off the deck.
In the front of the cabin a fire pit with plenty of seating is ready for s'mores and conversation with friends and family.
Our cabin is pet friendly to well-trained small dogs (two maximum), and one small and one medium crate are provided for your pets while you’re away from the cabin. Please bring your own pet bedding.
We provide high speed internet (at 1 Gigabits/sec).
A 220V outlet (NEMA14) is available to charge your electric vehicle. Please bring your own charging cord (at least 40 feet long).
Surveillance cameras are located on the front and back entrances for security purposes.
Motion detectors and indoor alarms to be disabled while occupied.
Located one mile west of the main Highway 259. A paved road takes you right to the edge of our driveway.

1.Is you cabin close to restaurants and entertainment?
Yes. We are 1 mile off the main highway 259 which runs through center of town. Most of the restaurants and activities are within few miles.
2. Is the road to your cabin paved and flat?
Yes. The road is paved up to our cabin. The road is also flat.
3. Is your cabin secluded?
Generally yes. Our cabin is about 50 yards and down slope from the road. It is on 1.5 acres and barely visible from the road. There are no cabins on the backside or the west side.
4. Do you provide firewoods?
We do not provide firewoods, but they can be obtained readily in town (on the way in) at about 5$ a bundle.

Hello! We are Cathy and Lin, owners of Not Your Grandpa's Cabin. We live in the DFW area and have two kids. We decided to become cabin owners because we were struck with the beauty and peacefulness of the Hochatown / Broken Bow area and wanted to have our own place of retreat and relax with family and friends. We love sharing our home away from home with guests as well. We hope you come for a visit, and take advantage of The Ouachita National Forest, Beavers Bend State Park, and Broken Bow Lake as well!
